Ukiyo Dance Studio
This project aims to develop a brand identity for a dance studio called Ukiyo Dance, located in the Danforth, Toronto. The studio is targeted towards young adults ages 16-30 looking to join a unique and welcoming community space. The branding direction channels the vibrant energy of dancehall, the edge of hip hop, and the sophistication of contemporary dance. Each letter in the logo is unique, expressing the movement of dance and the individuality of the studio’s customers. Black and white are prominent colours, reflecting the class and sophistication associated with dance. This simple yet bold palette compliments and accentuates the individual vibrancy of the studio’s clientele.
