The Breezy Weather App is a futuristic weather app representing the climate of Iceland in the year 2050. The goal of this app is to efficiently provide anxious users with all of the crucial information they will need for the day. In this case, the app provides weather updates, emergency alerts, volcano watch live-streams, daily outfit recommendations, and more. The design of the interface prioritizes fun and accessibility, utilizing vibrant colours and icons, in hopes of counteracting the anxiety of its users. Bright colours were chosen to distract the user from the usual rainy, overcast days and the long winters with minimal sunlight. This app leverages design fiction as a means to represent climate issues that will begin to surface over the next few decades.
